Merry Christmas!

This Christmas was so much fun! Although Michael still has no clue what Christmas is about, he's really getting into unwrapping his presents. It was cute watching his reactions to gifts and how much fun he had playing with them! I can only imagine how much fun holidays will become as our babies get older an we start our own holiday traditions!

Hello Santa!

Michael and I met up with Anthony in SLO to visit Santa! He hated it, even when we held him. Last year he was so little we were able to get a good picture of him on Santa's lap, but this year I was lucky to get a shot of him at all. Poor boy, his parents insisted on torturing him for a silly picture! At least he had a good time on the carousel with his dada afterward!

Michael Bear is 16 months!!

Here are some of the things our big 16 month old boy can do:

•can say mama, dada, papa, ice, baba, ba (balloon), deen-tee (binky), and ball.

• puts both hands up when he can't find something.

• copies mama when searches the house and tries to repeat "binky, where are you?"

• signs: milk, all done, food, and more.

• points to when asked: his hands, nose, tongue, teeth, tummy, eyes, hair, ears, and legs.

• just had his 3rd hair cut!

• can throw and kick

Date Night!

Anthony and I went to his annual company holiday party at the Madonna Inn. Dinner was so good and so was the dancing! I danced as much as my pregnant feet could take my heels! Lol!

Christmas Parade

It was waaay too cold to be outside, but we couldn't miss our first Christmas Parade in Paso! It was much smaller than we are used to in Fresno where everything is on a grand scale but there was something so cute about this little parade! Everyone seems to know each other in this town and best of all, we had front row seats and we showed up when the parade started!

Atascadero Zoo

We went to the little zoo in Atascadero today with the Shepards. Michael loved the animals! The last two times I took him to the zoo he was either sleeping or unimpressed by the animals. This time he was memorized by them and we had to peel him away from exhibits so we could move on to the next one. He was pointing the entire time at all of the different animals he saw!

Look what I can do!!

Michael is learning to use a spoon to feed himself! He really surprised me, I didn't think he would be able to do so well! He ate his oatmeal, yogurt, an applesauce today all on his own. About half of it ended up on his tray or shirt, but he really enjoyed being a big boy and doing it on his own!

Gymnastics

I took the good camera to the gym today. These pictures catch him in action much better!

Cambria

We made a day trip to Cambria to visit Moses and his family at their family reunion. Anthony played basketball and Michael and I walked around the site and played outside. It's so nice to have beautiful places like this so close to home!

Sweet angel baby!

Michael is the most loving and adorable boy! He's been having a tough time sleeping at night because of all the teeth that are coming in and now I think he caught the cold I had this last week! Being congested and teething is not a good combination! So the last few nights I've been up three to four times a night help him sleep, change leaky diapers, etc. His daddy tries to help out but he usually fusses until I come and lay next to him.

It's exhausting, especially being that I'm pregnant and crawling out of my bed and into his and back again all night long is a work out with this large belly! There have been times in the middle of the night when I'm wide awake and trying to sneak out of his room when I think "how will I ever rest when I have a newborn and Michael still can't sleep through the night?" Then panic sets in when I realize Jacob will be here in about two months and I'm already sleep deprived! Haha! It's going to be an adventure that's for sure!

I'm really looking forward to it honestly. Life couldn't be better right now. I have an amazing husband, a little boy that I love so much and who loves me back, and very soon there will be another boy to love and cuddle!

This morning, after Michael woke up from sleeping 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep (so rare I had to fight the urge to check on him) I went into his room to get him. He stood up and grabbed his monkey stuffed animal I've been putting in bed with him, and he clumsily walked over to
me. We snuggled up on the couch and watched an episode of the 'wiggles'. He hugged the monkey the entire time! This is the first time he's ever attached to something other than his binky or mama, it was adorable!

I'm so lucky to be his mom.

Leslie and Bruce came for a visit and Leslie and I took Michael to the park. He sure loves her!

Baby Gym!

We go to the gym on Wednesday mornings where they let little ones play. Michael has been about 5 times now and he absolutely loves it! It's getting harder to keep after him now that he can run. He is fearless and will run straight off the trampoline and ledges! He is learning to crawl off thankfully!


The pictures are blurry because he is constantly running around! I can't get his attention! Lol!

Growing and growing!!!!!

I'm 31 weeks and the countdown is officially on! About 9 more weeks! My nesting is in full swing as Jacob's arrival is approaching, as is the back pain, heartburn, and sore ribs! We can't wait to meet him!!!
